This book is one of my favorites of all time. In this story a can of paint accidentally is dropped on Mr. Plumbean's house suddenly making it very different from the rest of the very "neat" houses on his street. After much thought, he decides to paint his home and decorate his yard in a way that represents who he is and what all his dreams are. His neighbors are horrified at first, but slowly, one by one, realize the wisdom and joy in the work of art he has created. By the end of the story everyone's home on the street represents who they truly are in every color and shape imaginable! It has truly become a very "NEAT" street.
